Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for Anne Arundel County

The advisory calls for freezing rain and potentially icy roads.

Anne Arundel County is under a winter weather advisory for freezing rain until 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected to begin between 6 and 9 p.m. Monday, the weather service reported.

Coupled with below-freezing temperatures Monday evening, the rain may leave a “trace of ice,” according to the weather service.
