Healthy Kids Running Series starts this weekend!

Healthy Kids Running Series in College Park is a five-week cross country running race series for youth ages 2-14. We offer a variety of age-appropriate race distances, over a flat grass surface. The series runs at Lane Manor Park in College Park/Hyattsville, near the UMD campus, for five weeks in September-November on Sunday afternoons.

The environment is super fun and encouraging for the kids, as we aim to develop a love for getting outside and getting active. Our goal is to build community in the Greater College Park area through a fun athletic program!

Our five-week series will begin on Sunday September 28, and continue on October 5, October 19, October 26, and November 2. November 16 is reserved as a rain date in case one of the five race days needs to be postponed. Each week will have a fun theme for our athletes to participate in too.

As part of a national nonprofit organization, we provide t-shirts, race bibs, and medals! The College Park organization has partnered with Potomac Pizza and Planet Fitness to make the experience even more memorable. Our packet pickup will occur on Friday 9/26 (6-8pm) at Potomac Pizza College Park. We will also have treats for the runners - bagels from Bagels n Grinds during week 3 and pizza from Potomac Pizza during our final week!

Registration is required in order to participate. We also offer financial aid for those who apply (just email us).
