The Polls Close: Greenbelt Picks Original 'Star Trek'
Greenbelt has made its galactic choice.

The votes are in, the polling booths closed and the original "Star Trek" is ahead of the other renditions — at least in the eyes of Greenbelt voters.
Judith "J" Davis started Patch's voting off by declaring her choice of the original "Star Trek" as the best of the lot.

Now the voters have made their choice for city council and for their 2011 choice of best Star Trek. We'll see what 2012 brings.
Perhaps the best "Star Trek" episode will go up for a vote. Look for choices like:

- "The Trouble with Tribbles"
- "Requiem for Methuselah"
- "The Empath"
Or how about both pilots?
The first pilot, "The Cage," with Capt. Christopher Pike in his wheelchair going back to find his green slave girl enchantress.
The second pilot, "Where No One Has Gone Before," where we first meet Capt. Kirk. Remember the two crew members who become godlike and whose eyes glow as they gain power?
But that can wait for 2012.
