Maryland Couple Returns Home To Find Apartment Empty, Intruders In Bed
A Maryland couple lost $49,000 in property while on vacation, police said. All of their belongings were taken except for a bed.

GREENBELT, MD — A Maryland couple never expected to return home to find an empty apartment and two unwanted guests in their own beds. However, that's exactly what happened recently, police said.
According to the Greenbelt Police Department, the couple arrived home after a vaction to find their front door damaged and their apartment on Edmonston Road completely empty.
They located two suspects, a Black man and a white woman lying on a bed, which was the only piece of furniture still in the apartment, police said.

Police said the suspects told the victims they took all of their property. At some point during the encounter, the intruders became aggressive before fleeing on foot.
When the victims left their home on March 28, 2022, police said the apartment was fully furnished. When they returned home, the living room was empty except for black trash bags filled with items.

Police said there was also trash on the walls,
The kitchen was also empty and the cabinet doors were missing.
The second bedroom and its closets were also cleared out.
Both victims, who lost about $49,100 in property, told police they did not know the two suspects.
