Glenn: Thanks To Voters, Supporters

Dave Glenn thanks those who voted him onto City Council Tuesday.

From Dave Glenn:
———

When the were , it was very humbling experience. And I would be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to personally thank the voters of Havre de Grace for their confidence in me to help shape the path-forward for this great city we are all so proud to call home. And what an unprecedented voter turn-out. That speaks volumes for the residents of Havre de Grace.

But as in any election, a candidate cannot do all by himself. Therefore, I would like to thank the Mayor and all the members of the City Council (to include the three incumbents, Bill, Fred and Jim, who were running against me) for their advice, guidance, words of wisdom and unselfish support. You are all a class act. I would also like to personally thank all those individuals who: 1) placed signs in their yard (and those who requested signs that I could not accommodate due to the limited supply); 2) wrote letters of endorsement; 3) sacrificed their personal time on Saturdays to help with the aggressive door-to-door campaign; 4) volunteered to help to work the polls on election day; 5) spread the word about my credentials and commitment to this great community; and the list goes on and on. I would like to list each one individually, but elect not to do so for fear of inadvertently leaving someone out. However, I do have to personally thank my wife and best friend, Terri, who was not only my rock, but biggest supporter throughout this entire campaign. I couldn’t have done it without her and it was because of her tireless efforts that I did in fact get elected.

I look forward to this opportunity the serve the citizens of this great community. But I recognize up front, it is not my seat, IT IS YOUR SEAT! And as I have said many times before, I do not profess to have all the answers. Therefore, I will not hesitate to solicit your input, listen to what you have to say, and when it comes to making a decision, vote to do the right thing, for all the right reasons. It will take a total team effort. Thanks again and remember, there is no one as smart as “all of us.”  Working together, we will undoubtedly “make a difference.”
