PHOTOS: A New First In Havre de Grace

Havre de Grace's First Friday of May kicks off a monthly seasonal tradition.

The weather held off and people took to the streets as Havre de Grace celebrated the first First Friday of the 2012 season.

The city celebrates First Friday from May through December, drawing visitors and residents into the city's historic arts & entertainment district.

This year's opening First Friday included a new twist: closed roadways through the district with outdoor seating at one of the most popular restaurants in town.

hosted big crowds on Washington Street, while around the corner, opened it's new deck.

At one end of Washington Street, remained open for one final night—five years after opening. At the opposite end along St. John Street, welcomed regular foot traffic to its new storefront.

Musical acts performed on three street corners and in front of a number of downtown businesses. Tents lined Washington and St. John streets, while Franklin Street was covered with cool cars.
