County Offers Free Vaccines Ahead of School Year

The county has scheduled two sessions to immunize children up to 18.

Before sending the kids off to school later this month, check if their immunization records are up to date.

The county is offering free recommended vaccinations for children up to 18 who are eligible under the Vaccines for Children program, according to a news release. This includes children without health insurance and who are on Medicaid.

Parents do not need to schedule appointments, but must bring a copy of their child's immunization records, the release reads. Students entering college can receive the meningitis vaccine.
