Hereford High Graduates Win 'Mind in Motion' Scholarships

More than 600 students competed for the athletic and academic scholarship program.

Two 2012 Hereford High School graduates were among 4 Baltimore County winners of the 'Mind in Motion' scholarship program.

Sponsored by The Allstate Foundation, the program awarded $1,000 to Evan Anderson and Zachary Bile at a June 5 luncheon, according to a news release. More than 600 student-athletes applied for the scholarship.

Among Anderson's accomplishments are time served as Hereford's soccer team captain and being named a National Merit commended scholar, the release states. Bile was an AP scholar and also played on the soccer team.
