Master Naturalist Applications Due Tuesday
The program is for those looking to volunteer at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center.

Are you passionate about nature and looking to volunteer in your community?
Tuesday is the deadline to apply to become a master naturalist volunteer.
According to the center's website, courses, which run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays and some Saturdays between Sept. 10 to Oct. 29, educate participants on the natural world and instructs them on how to share what they learn. Classes will be taught by college professors and other experts, and take place at the and Robert E. Lee Park.

The cost of the program is $250 and includes 60 training hours.
Upon completion, participants are invited to volunteer in their region.
