1. 2 teens, 2 Virginia men arrested on gun charges in car rally enforcement effort in Maryland (wbaltv.com) — State police broke up illegal car rallies at two Hyattsville industrial locations, including 2801 52nd Ave. and 3912 Ironwood Place, as part of a multi-county crackdown. Officers say they prevented crowds of up to 300 people from blocking roads and arrested four people on gun charges, including two teens from Silver Spring and two men from Virginia.

Longtime Maryland state delegate for Prince George's County will not seek reelection (wjla.com) — A longtime voice for Hyattsville and surrounding communities in Annapolis, Delegate Anne Healey, will not seek reelection after finishing her current term representing District 22. Healey, who once served on the Hyattsville City Council, has held key leadership roles in the Maryland House over 35 years. She says she’s proud of supporting policies that reflect the area’s growing diversity.
