• Hyattsville, MD – Injuries Reported in Crash on East West Hwy Near 43rd Ave (localaccidentreports.com) — A Friday night crash on the westbound side of East West Highway near 43rd Avenue in Hyattsville left at least one person injured and briefly disrupted traffic while crews cleared the scene. Officials say injuries appeared non-life-threatening under a basic life support response, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the collision.
   

• Police in Charles County Recover Stolen Car, Arrest Hyattsville Man in Widespread HVAC Theft Investigation (smnewsnet.com) — A 30-year-old Hyattsville resident has been arrested and held without bond in Charles County after investigators linked him to a series of alleged HVAC-related thefts and property damage affecting more than ten businesses. Authorities say he was caught with a stolen vehicle, faces multiple misdemeanor charges, and is scheduled for trial on February 20, 2026.
