FedEx Field to Hold Moment of Silence for Fallen Officer

Funeral arrangements have been set for Off. Adrian Morris, but on Saturday, FedEx Field will honor the fallen officer in their own way.

 

Prince George's County Police announced that , will be honored with a moment of silence at FedEx Field Saturday.

At 4 p.m. before the Redskins game, FexEx field will remember Morris, who died Monday when the vehicle he was driving veered off the roadway and crash into a ditch.

His funeral is set for Tuesday, Aug. 28 at Woodstream Church, 9800 Lottsford Road in Mitchellville, at 10 a.m. Internment will immediately follow the services at 1 p.m. in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetary in Davidsonville.

Family, friends and others will gather to celebrate his life afterwards at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #89 in Upper Marlboro.

Since Morris' death was made public, other police agencies, local officials and citizens from around the Metro area have offered their condolences to the family and officers of Prince George's County's police force.

For those wanting to help assist Morris' family, a memorial fund has been set up in his memory. Please make checks payable to "FOP 89" and write "Officer Adrian Morris Fund" in the memo line.
