Laurel police officers will hold a Cover the Cruiser event to support Special Olympics Maryland at the Laurel Chick-Fil-A Thursday.

LAUREL, MD — Laurel police officers will hold a Cover the Cruiser event to support Special Olympics Maryland at the Chick-Fil-A in the Centre at Laurel Shopping Center Thursday, Aug. 24.

Customers can donate money to Special Olympics Maryland when they purchase a paper Pin-Up and place it on a police cruiser in the parking lot. The goal is to "cover the cruiser" and officers are working to collect as many donations as possible.

Cover the Cruiser is a fundraising event sponsored by Law Enforcement Torch Run. Several Baltimore area Chick-Fil-A locations will participate in the event. For more information about this fundraiser, visit here.
