The Waverly branch of the Enoch Pratt free library will close on Saturday for major renovations.
The renovations of the library are expected to cost $3 million and will include expanding the library by about 2000 feet, additional computers and other modernizations, according to The Baltimore Sun.
Residents, library employees and local elected officials have been advocating for years to rehab the more than 40-year-old library.
