The Waverly branch of the Enoch Pratt free library will close on Saturday for major renovations.The renovations of the library are expected to cost $3 million and will include expanding the library by about 2000 feet, additional computers and other modernizations, according to <a href="http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2013-04-12/news/ph-ms-wavery-library-0418-20130412_1_waverly-library-public-access-computers-library-system" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Baltimore Sun</a>. Residents, library employees and local elected officials have been advocating for years to rehab the more than 40-year-old library. Initial plans to rehabilitate the building were rejected because the supporters didn't think the plans were ambitious enough.    The library is expected to be closed for about a year during construction.
