3 Teens Charged in Robberies, Investigation Ongoing
Two teens from Severn were among those charged in connection to robberies in Odenton and Glen Burnie.
Anne Arundel County police continue to investigate a series of robberies in Odenton, Severn and Glen Burnie, but have arrested three teenagers in connection to two of them.Â
Police charged one 19-year-old man and two teenage boys on armed robbery charges stemming from incidents in Odenton and Glen Burnie on August 3. Police said detectives are looking into at least three other cases that were similar in nature.Â
According to police, the three suspects robbed a man and woman at 12:15 a.m. on August 3 in the area of Ransom Drive and Imperial Square in Odenton. Police said the suspects also robbed a man later that morning at the 7900 Nolpak Drive in Glen Burnie.
Officers charged Mark Dorsey, 19, of Baltimore with armed robbery, robbery, assault, theft and possession of a handgun in commission of a felony. Another 16-year-old from Severn was arrested and charged as an adult with similar offenses. A 15-year-old from Severn, arrested on similar charges, was charged as a juvenile.Â
Police said there are at least three other similar robberies that remain under investigation. The description of those cases is as follows:Â
- Just before midnight on August 2, police responded to an armed robbery at the 100 block of Militia Court. Four people said they were robbed by five men, who fled in a silver or white Dodge or Chrysler minivan.Â
- On August 2 at 12:40 a.m., four people said they were robbed by two men near Triple Feather Court in Severn.Â
- On August 2 at about 1 a.m. near Commodore Court and Commissary Circle in Odenton, a man said he was robbed of his cell phone and wallet by two men brandishing handguns.Â
