Hit On the Job
Not only was there a vicious fire on Telegraph Road that caused around $150,000 worth of damage, a firefighter was while he battled the flames.
One of Severn's most driven roads was shut down due to the fire that required assistance from departments in Severn, Odenton and BWI Thurgood Marshall International Aiport. However, in a follow up to the incident, Patch learned one of the firemen was struck by a car while working the fire.
Capt. James Rostek of the Anne Arunel County Fire Department said the man was not taken to receive medical care, and that he went to Baltimore Washington Medical Center the next day.
Initially reported by Patch, we were notified of the incident by a woman on Facebook who claimed it was her husband that was struck by the vehicle.
