Arundel's Tanner Chaplain Qualifies For State Wrestling Tourney

The junior, who sports a 27-5 record, will compete at 120 pounds. Two wrestlers from Meade High also qualified.

Arundel High School will send a representative to the state wrestling tournament, after junior Tanner Chaplain qualified to compete at 120 pounds. 

Chaplain, who has a 27-5 record, will open against Tony Arrington of Mergenthaler High in Baltimore. 

Travis Chidebe, a sophomore from Meade High, also qualified to compete at 145 pounds. He'll open against Chad Ellis of Linganore High.

Meade Senior Juan Coronado will wrestle at 170 pounds against Linganore's Luke Britten.

The MPSSAA state wrestling tournament takes place Friday and Saturday at Cole Field House in College Park.
