Board to Review Meade School Projects
The contracts will relate to the closure of open classrooms at Meade High and a new roof at Meade Heights Elementary.

The Anne Arundel County Board of Education will vote Wednesday on a pair of contracts relating to renovations of schools on Fort Meade.Â
The board is expected to approve a $386,730 contract relating to the closure of open space classrooms at Meade High. Smolen Emr Ilkovitch Architects has tentatively won the contract for the design of the closed spaces. Work is expected to be completed by December of 2014.Â
The board will also vote on a $127,945.98 contract relating to roof replacement at Meade Heights Elementary. Gale Associates is the pending winner of the contract for engineering design and construction administration. The new roof is expected to be in place by August, 2015.Â
The school board will vote on these contracts at its meeting on Wednesday at 10 a.m.Â
