Child Sex Crimes Charged Against 'Sugar Daddy' From Anne Arundel County: Reports
Child sex charges were pressed against an Anne Arundel County man. He met the underage victim on a "Sugar Daddy" website, reports said.

HANOVER, MD — An Anne Arundel County man was charged recently with child sex crimes in Calvert County, court records show.
The case file shows that 35-year-old David Harry Simkin of Hanover was charged on May 1 with sexual solicitation of a minor and sex trafficking-take/cause. Both charges are felonies.
The record says Simkin was released Monday after posting $10,000 bond. He has a preliminary hearing on May 31 in Calvert District Court.

Simkin told authorities executing a search warrant at his home on May 1 that he met the child on the Sugar Daddy's Match website, Southern Maryland News Net reported.
Southern Maryland News Net said Simkin is accused of paying the juvenile girl with a $200 gift card in exchange for sexual acts, which Simkin said were consensual.

Southern Maryland News Net said Simkin is accused of picking the victim up on Feb. 12 in a ride-share cab that witnesses observed, giving police a lead that eventually led to Simkin.
