Firefighters Quench Landfill Brush Fire

Firefighters quenched the flames of a brush fire Friday afternoon at the Millersville Landfill on Burns Crossing Road.

Capt. James Rostek of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said personnel arrived on scene and found a large brush fire and requested additional resources. 

Located at 389 Burns Crossing Road, the fire was under control before 4 p.m. after approximately 30 firefighters and 12 different response vehicles aided in the process.

The cause and damage of the flames was not available.
