Fort Meade Families To Meet with Michelle Obama

They will stand along side the first lady in support of a new bill designed to boost employment opportunities for the families of service members.

Military service members and their families from Fort Meade will stand alongside first lady Michelle Obama Wednesday at the Maryland State House in Annapolis.

The service members will appear as a show of support for the Maryland Veterans Full Employment Act, which will be signed into law by Gov. Martin O'Malley.

The act is designed to streamline the ability of service members and their family members to easily transfer professional certifications, licenses and degrees when they change duty stations.
