Fort Meade to Host Sex Assault Symposium
The session will include local officials and advocacy groups discussing ways to prevent sex assault and care for victims.

Fort Meade officials will hold a special session Monday to discuss ways to combat sexual assault on the installation and the wider community.Â
The installation will hold the first Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and
Prevention (SHARP) Symposium, featuring local advocacy groups and officials from nearby counties.Â
The symposium will be held Monday from 1-4 p.m. at the McGill Training Center. Its purpose is to reinforce Fort Meade's commitment to battling sexual assault and offering care to victims.Â
Participating groups will include the Prince George’s County Center for
Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, the Maryland Crime Victims’ ResourceÂ
Center, and the DoD Safe Help Line/DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office.
