Heavy Rain Blitzes Through Severn

A torrential downpour covered the Severn area Tuesday afternoon, creating a slip-and-slide situation just in time for workers to get to their cars for their evening commute.

Northwestern Anne Arundel County received a warning around 4:30 p.m. of possible 35 to 60 mph winds, and the Severn area received its share of the unruly weather front.

But, as quickly as it came, the storm was over and residents were left with a rather wet and puzzled "what the heck just happened?" type of feeling.
