Increased Visible Support for Military

After Sept. 11, 2001, thousands of people joined the military in response to the attacks. For those who didn't, showing their support for the nation's troops has become a significant part of thanking our servicemen and women.

After President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden had been killed, Patch went out and spoke with local residents to get their reactions.

One man in particular, Dwight Mackel of Annapolis, wore a Seal Team hat to show his support the day after Bin Laden was declared dead.

For Mackel, the events of 9/11 hit close to home, perhaps more so than most.
