Local Fitness Club to Host 'Get Pinked' Fundraiser
The Merritt Athletic Club in Hanover is hosting a day of fitness and fun in order to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The Merritt Buckingham’s Athletic Club is hosting its annual Get Pinked party on Oct. 1 to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
Located at 7587 Buckingham Blvd. in Hanover, the club invites people to take part in fitness classes with the proceeds going to cancer research.
Starting at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 1, participants can take a “hot yoga” class, cycle outdoors and enjoy a “zumbathon,” all for small donations of $5 or $10.

Personal training sessions are also available for participants at the Get Pinked event for a $5 donation. The session includes a fitness boot camp, boxing and mixed martial arts sessions and other demanding cardio exercises.
Kids can attend too for a discounted price and the event will offer a “Kid’s Corner” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Even the youngsters can get in on the fitness activities with the Okinawan Karate ”Master Bast” martial arts session.

The athletic club is releasing a flyer to the public that includes two 30-day free coupon for individual participants.
