Local Relay for Life Campaign Kicks off Tuesday
The annual event to raise money for cancer research will begin registering teams on Tuesday in Severn.
The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will begin its fundraising drive for west Anne Arundel County this week.
Organizers will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Glen Burnie Elks Lodge in Severn.
It will be the first chance for supporters to organize a team for the relay and begin raising money for cancer research.

The Relay for Life will take place on May 17 at Old Mill High School. It is an annual event that features teams and individuals walking and running around a track for at least 24 hours. Money raised will go to support the American Cancer Society.
To register a team, you can sign up in person on Tuesday or visit relayforlife.org.
