Man Shot at Royal Inn

Police said four men tried to crash a party, then fired shots from the parking lot.

One man was hospitalized after being shot early Sunday morning at the Royal Inn in Odenton. 

Anne Arundel County police responded shortly before 1:30 a.m. and learned that there had been a party inside a room of the motel, and four men arrived and began fighting with someone in the room. 

The men were forced out, but one of the suspects then fired several shots up toward the room from the parking lot, police said.

A 19-year-old man was struck in the leg by a bullet. He was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, but his injuries were not life-threatening.

The four suspects remain at large and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call 410-222-6155.
