Man Shot, Found Alongside Roadway in Severn

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the shooting of a man in the Meade Village section of Severn on Friday night. 

Police said that at about 11:30 p.m., a 24-year-old man was spotted by drivers on Reece Road after they nearly struck him with their car. They picked him up and took him out of the area after learning that he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. 

The drivers called 911 and the victim was then transported to Shock Trauma.

Police said that neither the victim nor witnesses have provided any information about any suspects in the shooting. However, they said it does not appear the shooting was a random act of violence.
