Man Shot While Walking In Anne Arundel County: Police

A man was shot while walking in Anne Arundel County, police said.

SEVERN, MD — A man was hospitalized Friday after a Severn shooting, police said.

Officers expect the 49-year-old victim to survive. Authorities are still searching for the unknown suspect.

Police said the shooting happened around 5:22 a.m. near Annapolis Road and Disney Road.

The victim told officers he saw a sedan drive past him while walking in the area. He reported hearing gunshots and later realizing he was shot.

Medics took the victim to shock trauma as a precaution with what authorities called "a non-life-threatening wound to his leg."

Detectives are still investigating. They had not found the crime scene or identified any suspect information by Friday at 10:15 a.m.
