Man Stabbed at Meade Village Block Party
Police had trouble finding the victim due to extremely large crowds and heavy foot traffic near Meade Village in Severn.
The annual block party at Meade Village was marred with violence Saturday evening after a man was stabbed amid the large crowds, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
At least 40 vehicles lined Reece Road, near Meade Village Road, as about 1,000 people from the community attended a block party. Due to the large number of people, police had difficulty finding the victim.
Around 6:30 p.m., officers had to use a K-9 unit to find the injured man on a footpath that leads away from Meade Village.

The stabbing victim told police he was standing in a large group of people in front of the 1700 block of Meade Village Circle when another man approached and assaulted him. Police searched the area to find a man matching the description but were unable to find the suspect.
A helicopter was used to transport the victim to Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that were not life-threatening injuries.

Police said their investigation indicated that this was not a random act of violence, and said the investigation is ongoing.
