Mapes Gate Closure Forces Change to Bus Schedule

Buses will now leave earlier in the afternoon.

The closure of the Fort Meade gate at Mapes Road has forced a tweak to the bus schedule for the commuting to and from the MARC station.

While the schedule will remain the same in the morning, the new afternoon schedule shows the bus leaving each stop 15 minutes earlier than in the past.

The first bus to exit the installation will pick up passengers at Defense Media Activity at 2:15 p.m., arriving at the MARC Station at 2:55 p.m.

The final circuit in the afternoon will pick up passengers at the DMA at 5:45 p.m., arriving at the station at 6:15 p.m.

The bus will also stop at DISA, the post theater, the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center and the adjudication buildings.

The bus will continue to enter at the Llewellyn Gate.
