Meade Week: Cardin Addresses Federal Workers
A review of the biggest stories coming from the installation this week.

Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD) addressed a group of federal workers at Fort Meade last week and said he would work to bring certainty to the government budget and end the sequester.Â
Cardin offered praise to the federal workers for their contributions and said the recent budget cuts and furloughs were damaging to the economy, according to a report from Meade Week, the video news roundup produced by the Fort Meade public affairs office.Â
Cardin's appearance came on the heels of news that the Department of Defense would cut furlough days for civilian workers this summer from 11 to six.Â
