New Job Postings at Fort Meade Cease
USAJobs.gov once showed a wealth of new jobs at Fort Meade. But not today.

By now, Patch readers have probably become accustomed to seeing frequent postings for federal jobs at Fort Meade.
It was interesting to see the government continue to advertise for open positions, even amidst talk of deep budget cuts. Usually, there were at least five new jobs posted each week.
But it appears now that the threat of cuts is very real, as the number of new jobs posted publicly for Fort Meade has slowed to nearly nothing.

The only truly new job posting for Fort Meade we could find was for a computer scientist/engineer at DISA. There are no other jobs posted with application dates extending beyond the end of February.
To be clear, the job postings we see are for those jobs that are open to the public at large. There may be some jobs open to existing federal government workers posted on internal job boards.
