The Old Mill Patriots proved why they're favorites to make the playoffs this year after outlasting Broadneck High in a stalemate-type showdown.
In , the Patriots held the Bruins to zero points after four quarters, making their 10-point lead more than enough to start the season 1-0.
Neither team could find the endzone in the first half, but it was Old Mill that capitalized in the third quater with a field goal by Matt Lampe and a rushing touchdown by Rob Chesson.

The win was a bit of redemption for Old Mill after the Patriots were eliminated from the playoffs by Broadneck in November of last year, despite beating them one week earlier.
