Old Mill Star Commits to Play Basketball at Shepherd University
Eric Savage, one of Old Mill's most prolific scorers, signed his letter of commitment last week.

Old Mill's No. 2 all-time leading scorer, Eric Savage, commited to play basketball at Shepherd University April 13.Â
The 18-year old chose Shepherd after visiting the campus and said, "it was just a real good fit."
"I got to meet the players and the coaches, even the mayor," said Savage.Â

The 6-foot-1-inch, 175-pound guard will seek to dominate at the collegiate level in the same way he did for the Patriots. Savage served as a two-year team captain while averaging 17 points, five rebounds and five assists a game. Â
Despite being named to the Capital's First Team All-County and being named a McDonal's All-American Nominee, Savage said breaking the 1,000-point career mark was his proudest moment as a member of the Patriots' basketball team.

"That was a big accomplishment for me. I wasn't very offesnively minded going into high school, but it was real special," said the four-year varsity player.Â
Savage broke the record with several games to spare, and ultimately ended his career with more than 1,100 points for Old Mill.
