Orioles Trade Josh Hader to the Astros
The Old Mill graduate and left pitcher was sent to Houston as part of a trade deadline deal.

The Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday announced that they will send Old Mill graduate Josh Hader to the Houston Astros as part of a deadline-day deal.Â
Hader, a 2011Â graduate who emerged as one of the Orioles' top pitching prospects, will head to Houston along with outfielder L.J. Hoes. The Orioles received pitcher Bud Norris in return.Â
Hader was one of the best lefty pitchers in the South Atlantic League, posting a 3-6 record with a 2.65 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 17 starts with the Class-A Delmarva Shorebirds. The Orioles drafted him in the 19th round in 2012.Â
