Perry Miliotis Dies

The owner of Perry's Restaurant in Odenton passed away Thursday morning.

Perry Miliotis, the owner of Perry's Restaurant in Odenton, has died. 

Sources close to the family said he passed away Thursday morning. He was 72. 

Miliotis, who also resided in Odenton, was a fixture in the community ever since opening Perry's Restaurant on Annapolis Road more than 40 years ago. A native of Cyprus, he emigrated to America as a 19-year-old. He later opened Perry's Restaurant, even rebuilding the business once after a devastating fire.

Perry's has been a popular place for the Happy Hour crowd and for those looking for authentic Greek dishes. 

In recent years, he handed over the day-to-day operations to his sons, Kristos and Michael. He is also survived by his wife, Hannelore.

A viewing will take place at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Odenton on Sunday, April 21 from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 22 at Nichols-Bethel United Methodist Church.
