Pioneer Drive Pool House Demolished

After being closed for more than 20 years, the pool house on Pioneer Drive was finally demolished this week. 

For years, the pool sat unoccupied and uninhabited with rusted fences and a broken diving board. The pool hasn't been in operation since 1989 and closed because nearby families were unable to afford pool memberships, according to area resident .

A small crew occupied the pool's parking lot Friday removing rubble and digging up the remnants of the pool house and its facilities.
