The name alone lends itself as evidence to why the treatment of dogs raises such elevated opinions.
Those opinions were brought to light last week as Severn was the spotlight of plenty of media attention. In an that is still being investigated by police, a pit bull named Kayne and another pit bull named Gyno engaged in a fight.

Sadly, the scruff between the two dogs ultimately ended with a 32-year-old shooting Kayne and killing the animal.

Wounded Warrior Takes Fourth
Sgt. Jessie White of Fort Meade finished fourth and fifth in in Colorado Springs, CO at the National Warrior Games.
In a competition that features wounded soldiers from around the nation, White once again represented Fort Meade with pride. He trained for several hours a day six times a week to get to his physical best.
Best Friends Forever
Four best friends from Old Mill decided to use their friendship as a platform for a school project, one that ultimately earned them top marks in their class.
Each girl said they uniquely represent separate social groups, but said was what ultimately gave them the idea for their PSA announcement. The girls are so close that they subconsciously sit in a specific order that goes along with their group nickname, “ZMCK.”
Money Money Money
Two high profile incidents occurred last week resulting in an expensive fire and the seizing of more than $165,000.
On Thursday, several local departments battled flames that caused more then $400,000 worth of damage over the course of several residences. The next day, a special investigation conducted by the Anne Arundel County Police Department led to an arrest of two men in Hanover.
Police said the two men possessed more than of marijuana with a street value around $165,000.
