Police Investigate Murder on Pinecove Avenue
Police have interviewed a suspect in connection to the death of Jerome Vorden Wood on Tuesday in Seven Oaks.

Anne Arundel County police are investigating the murder of a man near the border of Severn and Odenton on Tuesday, and said they have identified a suspect who knew him.
According to a police press release, police officers and paramedics responded to a report of an attempted suicide at the 100 block of Pinecove Drive. They arrived to find Jerome Vorden Wood, 45, on the floor and suffering from wounds to his upper torso. Paramedics rushed Wood to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, where he died.
Homicide detectives investigated the case and learned that Wood's injuries may not have been self-inflicted, police said.

Police said they identified and questioned a suspect in the case, but have not made any arrests. Police said the suspect and victim knew each other and that this was an isolated incident.
Charges could be brought following an investigation and consultation with the States Attorney's office, police said.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is expected to investigate the cause of Wood's death.
Police did not immediately say when the incident occurred on Tuesday.
