Pruski Launches Campaign, Promises 'Innovative' Leadership

The Democrat from Four Seasons spoke before a crowd of supporters in Odenton Wednesday.

Gambrills resident Andrew Pruski formally launched his campaign for the District 4 seat on the county council on Wednesday night, urging support for a platform of more investment in public education and public safety.

The Democrat spoke before a spirited crowd at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company, promising an "innovative" approach to leadership.

"We need new blood," the school board member said. "We need good people who are willing to stand up and do what's right for our community."

Pruski's supporters on Wednesday included Sen. Jim Rosapepe (D-21), school board members Teresa Birge, Deborah Ritchie and Stacey Korbelak, and Steve Richard of the Four Seasons Community Association.

Pruski is seeking the seat to be vacated by Jamie Benoit.

Pruski is expected to hold a breakfast fundraiser event on Sept. 4 at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton.
