Pruski to Seek District 4 Council Seat
The Democrat from Gambrills will formally announce his candidacy at an event on August 7.

Gambrills resident and school board member Andrew Pruski will announce his candidacy for the District 4 seat on the  Anne Arundel County Council next week.Â
Pruski, a Democrat, will formally announce the bid on August 7 at 7 p.m. at the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company hall.Â
County County elections will be held next fall.Â
Pruski, 34, recently served as the president of the Anne Arundel County Board of Education. He also has served as president of the Four Seasons Community Association and on the Anne Arundel County Board of Appeals.Â
This is not the first time Pruski has sought the District 4 seat. He was defeated by Jamie Benoit in the 2006 Democratic primary. Benoit will not be on the ballot in 2014.Â
Pruski's wife, Roxanne, is an assistant at Broadneck High School. The couple has two young children, Jacob and Clara.Â
Anyone wishing to attend the August 7 event in Odenton is asked to email votepruski@gmail.com by August 5.Â
Pruski also plans to have a kick-off fundraiser on Sept. 4 at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton.
