Man Sentenced to Prison for Leading Drug Ring in Severn

TheBaynet.com is reporting Raymond Eggleston, 51, will spend more than 12 years in prison.

A Hanover man was sentenced to 151 months in prison for leading and operating a drug organization in Severn that sought to distribute between 3.5 to 5 kilograms of cocaine, according to a TheBaynet.com.

The story reports that according to a plea agreement, Eggleston ran the drug organization from Feb. 2008 to March 2011 from a home located at 629 Queenstown Rd. in Severn. 

Eggleston and his conspirators reportedly used secret terms when addressing the headquarters of their operation that contained cocaine, cocaine base and heroin.

The sentence was announced by the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland along with other special agents and chiefs of police from Anne Arundel and Howard counties.

In 2011, police have seized more than $35,000 worth of cocaine in Severn in to . In March, a man was arrested after police said they found . Just a few months later in September, police confiscated just under $10,000 of cocaine on Annapolis Road.
