Severn Man Arrested in Pioneer City Robbery

Anne Arundel County police have arrested a Severn man in connection to a robbery near Arwell Court and Pioneer Drive on Monday night. 

Police said they suspect 18-year-old Lewis Hamlin was responsible for grabbing the purse of a woman and stealing some cash and two cell phones. 

Officers responded to the scene at about 9 p.m. Monday and the victim named Hamlin as the suspect. 

Police went to Hamlin's home and arrested him after he tried to run away out the back door. 

Police charged Hamlin with robbery and theft in the case.
