Severn Man Identified as Driver in Massive Bay Bridge Accident

The accident caused serious backups and resulted in the death of one man.

Last week, police identified a Severn man as the driver responsible for an accident on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge which resulted in the death of a 70-year old, according to an article in The Washington Times.

According to the Times article, police said the victim, Harry Blauvelt, was forced off the bridge and fell over 50-feet into the water after his disabled vehicle was struck from the rear by a flatbed truck, driven by Severn resident, Enos Hutton Sage. 

Blauvelt was rushed to the Anne Arundel Medical Center but was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Sage is not facing charges, according to police.
