Severn Resident to Represent Anne Arundel in Idol Competition
Betty Roesler of Severn was selected after the county's auditions Friday at Pascal Senior Center in Glen Burnie.
Two seniors were selected Friday to represent Anne Arundel County in next month's Maryland Senior Idol competition. The audition, held at , featured 12 singers—age 60 and above—who showcased their vocal abilities for the judges.
Judges Tom Neuenschwander, professional music educator, and Carol Boyer, membership director for the , selected Shirley Valencia of Brooklyn and Betty Roesler of Severn to represent the county in the state-wide competition.
will take place March 30 at the Chesapeake Arts Center in Brooklyn Park. Tickets are $6 and proceeds benefit the Maryland Food Bank.
