Police followed the vehicle to a Shell lot off Quarterfield Road where it picked up a man who ran from the Parke West Car Wash. Police said the man entered the car and then sped out of the Shell without using a proper turn signal.
Officers then pulled over the car and, during the traffic stop, noticed the man who had just entered the vehicle had cuts on hand. Additional investigation confirmed that the passenger of the vehicle made a forced entry into the Cigarette Depot and took several cartons of cigarettes before fleeing the scene on foot, according to police.
