Week In Review: America's Pastime and an Ah Ha! Moment
A brief look at the week that was.
It’s always pleasant to have one of those “ah ha!” moments.
Times where things fit together like tiny puzzle pieces inside your head.
I had one of these moments of revelation early last week while covering Annapolis Area Christian School’s (AACS) celebration of their tennis team.

After winning its first title ever for the tennis program, the school held an to celebrate the team’s accomplishment and to thank the Tosé family for their generous contribution, the school’s top-notch tennis court.
It was then that I realized that Maurice Tosé, the man behind the funding for the courts, was the same man I interviewed one week earlier at the grand opening of ) in Hanover. I spoke with Tosé, the chairman and CEO of TCS, and learned of his passion for AACS and tennis.

Even his youngest child plays at the age of 6.
Amid my “ah Ha!” moment, it was good to learn that Tosé recognized me, too.
Going, Going, Gone!
Severn Patch was full of America’s pastime this week. Archbishop Spalding headed into Maryland’s Private School Baseball Tournament last week as the and four local talents made Anne Arundel’s 2011 All-County team.
Meade High saw their catcher, , and pitcher/outfielder, , be named to the list for their monster batting averages, both above .400 for the season.
For the Patriots of Old Mill,made the All-County squad.
Both of the stars from Meade High will play Division I baseball at Coppin State University.
Turning the Tassle
We also had our hands full gathering much needed details for local graduations for Severn schools. Both and celebrated graduations last week, with several hundred new grads heading off to the college or the professional workforce.

Facebook blew up last week with questions and guesses of wonder after citizens saw a .
We did our best to find answers, but after being handed off numerous times, no real answers were given.
One parent even said her child came home from school saying the entire class at recess stood and watched the unique sight.
