Wegmans Cites E. Coli Risk in Salad Recall

The store has recalled two types of salad mixes sold in the last few weeks.

Wegmans has issued a nationwide recall of two types of salad mix, citing a possible E. coli contamination.

The Rochester-based grocery chain said recall impacts the 11-ounce and 5-ounce sizes of store-brand Organic Spinach and Spring Mix. The products were sold between Oct. 14 and Nov. 1. Wegmans advises anyone who bought the products to immediately throw them away.

It is unclear how many salad mixes were sold at the new Wegmans in Gambrills, which opened on Oct. 28.
