Wet Wednesdays Becoming a Trend

It's rained on Wednesday three of the last four weeks.

Wednesday's heavy rainfall was the latest of a recent but strange trend in Severn—call it "Wet Wednesdays."

According Weather Underground's statistics, three of the last four weeks have resulted in rainy Wednesdays for the Severn area.

Since Nov. 16, the wet Wednesdays have gathered rainfall ranging from .16 inches all the way to last week's 2.38 inches.

The only "hump day" that hasn't had clouds and rainfall was two weeks ago on Nov. 23. All the other Wednesdays brough rain to the 21144 ZIP code.

Going back even further, Wednesdays have continued to be wet going all the way back to October. In the nine Wednesdays that occurred since Oct. 12, six of them have been filled with precipitation.
